Radiological Protection of Medical Exposure Is a Hot Topic for Modern Society to Pay More Attention and Strengthen Research

The ecological environment where human beings live is full of natural radiation, and at the same time various artificial sources of ionizing radiation are constantly developed and widely used. The largest and doomed-to-increase artificial source of ionizing radiation comes from medical services with purposes of physical examination or radiotherapy. We are in the time of rapid development and wide spread of radiodiagnosis and radiotherapy, and should give full attention to and conscientiously strengthen radiological protection in medical services, which becomes a major public health issue attracting all the public in the development of modern society. The Journal of Environmental and Occupational Medicine with a successful history of 30 years should take it for granted to pay close attention to the issue.
