Research Progress in the Toxicological Research of Microcystins

  • Algae toxin contamination in drinking water was currently a major public health problem all over the world, of which microcystins (MC)were the most widely distributed, harmful and representative as many researches were focused on them. The physicochemical properties, toxicokinetic and toxicological characteristics, as well as risk assessments of MC were briefly reviewed in this paper.
