Objective To evaluate the effect of occupational hazards control in a fluorine chemical enterprise's constructionproject,identify the hazardous factors,and provide reasonably practical suggestions to protect workers'health.
Methods Walkthrough,inspection method,checklist method,and quantitative grading were utilized,in combination with the basicinformation of the project,for the qualitative and quantitative evaluations of potential occupational hazards in the constructionproject.
Results Equipment layout and buildings hygienic conditions basically complied with related national hygienestandards.Except for the air toxicant concentrations in the selected workplace that were well within the required limits,theintensities of other major occupational hazards were at the average level.
Conclusion Although a variety of occupationalhazards are identified in the construction project,their levels well meet the requirement of relevant national hygienic laws andstandards owing to the effective control measures.However,the enterprise should strengthen training on emergency response andimplementation of emergency plans.
