Research Progress on Reproduction Toxicity of Perfluorooctane Sulfonate to Male Animals

  • Perfluorooctane sulfonate(PFOS) is considered as an emerging persistent organic pollutant and has attracted more and more attentions due to its global serious pollution. This review introduced the impacts of PFOS on sperm maturation, structure and function of blood-testis barrier, testosterone synthesis, as well as the potential molecular mechanism associated with induced male reproductive damage, aiming to summarize the research progress on reproduction toxicity of PFOS to male animals.
