Study progress on PM2.5 exposure assessment methods

  • Currently, the environmental health problems caused by PM2.5 are widely concerned. Exposure assessment is an important part of PM2.5 health risk assessment, and provides references for risk assessment and risk characterization. PM2.5 enter the body mainly through respiratory tract, and its exposure assessment need concentration of PM2.5 exposure, identification of exposure route, timeactivity pattern parameters under specific exposure route, etc. This article introduced the applications of PM2.5 exposure assessment methods at home and abroad, reviewed the uncertainty and variability of assessment results, and pointed out the problems in current PM2.5 exposure assessment, aiming to provide basic data for atmospheric particulate matter exposure assessment.
