Research Progress on Radiation-Induced Deletion of Mitochondrial DNA as a Biological Molecular Dosimeter

  • Radiation biological dosimeter plays an important role in estimating individual radiation dose. Recently, growing attention has been paid to the feasibility studies of mitochondrial DNA deletion as a new biological molecular dosimeter of radiation. This review summarized current research progress on mitochondrial DNA deletion, especially 4977bp deletion.
