Advances in Researches on Airborne Allergenic Pollen and Bronchial Asthma

  • Pollens are one group of airborne allergens which may cause bronchial asthma and pollinosis and affect patients daily lives. The prevalence of bronchial asthma increased dramatically in recent decades. In order to prevent bronchial asthma, it is of great importance to carry out researches on airborne allergenic pollens and bronchial asthma. The paper reviewed the latest advances on the dispersion characteristics and forecast of pollens, the identification of allergenic pollens, the latest progress on control and prevention of allergic bronchial asthma as well as immunotherapy. Monitoring pollens and related actionswere proposed.
